Problems of an O.C.D

So there are 5 things on earth that can make most O.C.D people go shooting from the ground to the sky in anger (maybe not exactly anger but annoyance). As an O.C.D person myself, I know exactly how it feels when things don't exactly go the way you've planned. Eehh...but such is life. Well here are the 5 things that annoy most O.C.D people. :)

• Punctuality: Those days when you just feel like the entire universe is trying to get into your way and you just can't reach some place on time. OR. You're perfectly on time but the others aren't and you're  left waiting for them.

• Organizing: Crazy as it seems but you want everything aligned properly and in order. One thing here and there and you blow your head off.

• Cleaning: Not a single spec of dust can ever be found anywhere near your room, house, etc. Everything has to be sparkly clean.

• Arranging stuff: Either your books are kept according to their length and width or their colour coordinated just like your cloths and other stuff.

• Perfection: Whatever you do, it has to be perfect. No place for mistakes. And when someone messes up something of yours, you wish you could shoot them.

The Changing World

It’s 5 pm and I haven’t left college yet. I’m sure, mother is going to be furious. Once again my bus decides not to show up when i need it the most.
Almost after an hour’s wait from a distance I see the bus arrive. Thanking my lucky starts I board the bus. Go right ahead and catch a window seat.
The traffic is never ending. People are honking away at the signals. The bus is waiting for the green light when a red long convertible decides that the wait is too long and rushes to break the signal at its highest speed.
Although the police station was just to its right, that didn’t really seem to bother him.
Speeding he ignored a young girl crossing the road and knocks her down as if she didn’t exist at all.
I was speechless at that moment. Unable to help the little girl I reached the railway station.
The one hour journey brought a million questions to my head.
Has the world changed so much?
Have people become so ignorant that the life of a small girl has no value what so ever?
Does money have the only say over humanity now?
Rules and regulations are now just writings in a book?
The craze for city life and luxurious living has made people forget the basic values of life. I myself am ashamed to call myself a part of this rat race.
I wonder what this city would be like without the competition n money tangling around its citizens.

Imagination

Sometimes I wonder what I would do without any imagination. Crazy as it sounds, just think. Nothing in this world would exist without it.
Not being able to imagine we'd probably still be in the dark ages living in a cave like insects.
It was this imagination that led to greater, bigger and bolder things; like the telephone, the airplane, the computer and the World Wide Web.
Thanks to Alexander Graham Bell's imagination (who's was deaf) we are able to connect with anyone and everyone from different corners of the world.
In the early 1900's who would have ever thought that man could fly. But it was the Wright brother who made it possible.
Thinking about all this..I wonder what my imagination will lead me to? Will it just be some cartoons and doodles on a piece  of paper or something greater.
This is where my imagination begins and someday I hope through this I too can create something as magnificent as them.

Get Organized :D

5 ways to organize your everyday schedule.

Need some organizing to do. Here are some tips that will help you get some more control in life.

  • Make a checklist :   Figure out all the things that need to be done and put them down on a list. So that every time you're done doing something you can check that out of this list. This will help you work more systematically. Bring your imagination onto the paper, make the list look attractive, by doing this you wont forget about the list and will follow it step by step.

  •  Prioritize: Some things are a little more important and need to be done more urgently than other. Figure out whats urgent and whats not. Do them order wise. This way you wont be running for time at the end.
  • Organize your space : Keep everything in its place. Don't mess stuff around as that causes big-time confusion. Make a specific place for everything and keep it there only. This will help prevent you from miss placing things and then spending hours looking for it.
  •  Use a calender : Get a calendar and put it in a place where you see it every day, preferably in the morning. For most people, that's on the refrigerator or on their desk. Wherever you put it, make it part of your routine to refer to it every day.
  •  Follow through. There's no point in making a to-do list if you don't discipline yourself to complete the tasks you've assigned yourself. Setting a time frame in which each task has to be done throughout the day is another good way to keep one from procrastination, and keeping to their agenda.

A Friend

Reading a book. What pleasure! And then all of sudden some weird freak tells you the end. It’s such moments that make smoke whistle out of my ears.

 The incident.

Friend asks,” Hey, is that the book I think it is?, it’s really good. A must read. Oh by the way; the main character dies at the end.” There’s a smirk on her face. As if that last statement made her day.
I frown, my face red as a tomato. If only I had a brick in my pocket to throw at her.
Feeling annoyed and a bit helpless I stomp away from her before she utters anything else. So the friend jogs up to me with a huge smile and says,” Oops…spoiler alert!” And runs away as though she were chased by wolves.

At this point anger had reached it’s top. The throbbing in my head due to that ‘spoiler’. I slowly walk back to class, sit and stare at my book for a few minutes. Trying to decide whether I should continue anyway, I hear a running sound. It’s my annoying friend. And she has a different book in her hand. This time she hands me the book with a smile and says,” Never mind, you read this one instead.” Ah.. What a relief. My face gleaming.
And just before she leaves she spurts out the ending of this one as well.
This time I’m speechless. Scrolling my eyes I begin reading it anyway.

And this is what friends are for.

Doodling

I started drawing when I was about 3 or 4 years old. My mum is an artist so I guess its genetic. Since then I've done a lot. I couldn't believe myself when I came 3rd in an inter state art competition. After that I ended up painting every single wall in my room.
Ooh and I love drawing cats.
